Here's a funny story from my trip home from seattle that I forgot to mention:
At both JFK and SeaTac, I had to take off my shoes when I went through security. At SeaTac, after passing through security, I sat on a bench to put my shoes back on. I overheard this man telling another man a story about how he was at an airport passing through security, and the security officer told these girls to take their shoes off. They told him that they don't have to take their shoes off because they were wearing Uggs, and Uggs don't affect the metal detectors. The guard told that REAL Uggs don't set off the metal detector, but FAKE Uggs sometimes do. The girls gasped in horror and said that of course their Uggs were real. The guard allowed them to walk through the metal detector with their "Uggs" on and wouldn't you know it, they set off the metal detector.

It's the little things in life that bring me pleasure, really.
